The Remington Volunteer Fire Department was established on March 3, 1942, which was originally located on E. Main Street in downtown Remington, Virginia.
In the Spring of 1954, we relocated to 200 East Marshall St. into a 5,141 sq. ft. building, which made us one of the fastest growing fire companies in Fauquier County.
RVFRD broke ground in October of 2007 for the addition and remodeling of the new 26,117 sq. ft., state of the art, building we currently operate out of today. The addition included 9 apparatus bays, 2 training rooms, administrator offices, remodel of banquet hall, radio room and 4 bunk rooms that can sleep a total of 16 members. On June 27, 2009, a Hose Uncoupling Ceremony was held to mark the grand opening of the new facility.
